Today in class we were working with probability. We used a spoon to launch a cup 10 times and found how many times it landed on its top, bottom or side. Most of the time the cup will land on its side (about 70%). The homework is to change something in the cup-spoon launching system so that you change the probability of the cup landing on its top, bottom or side. This project is meant to be a fun way for students to be creative and solve a problem. The homework sheet is below if your child forgot to bring it home.
