Thank you for the very generous holiday gift. I enjoyed unpacking all the treasures. Thanks you for the Amazon and Radio Shack gift cards, they will be very helpful in making sure the engeneering project I have planned runs smoothly.

Students have been working on a recipe book that combines a favorite family recipe with writing about why the recipe is important to them. We will be using Student Treasures Publishing company to publish the book. On Monday I will send home order forms. We ask that you complete and return the form even if you do not purchase the book. If 80% of parents (22 parents) return the form we will recieve a free class copy. Please return the forms by Wednesday 12/2, so we can send the book to the publisher. We will let this copy circulate so that you can try out the student's fabulous recipes. If you have any questions about this project please let me know.
With only a week to vacation and many students leaving early for the break we will be trying something different with Wordly Wise Lesson 10. Students can do the work in the book at their own pace, and take the test when they feel they know the words and are ready for the test. I have the review sheet and students can again use that as a check to see what they know. Students should take the test before they leave on break. If they do not the test will be given to them Monday morning when they return from break. Let me know if you have any questions.
Our 4th grade music performance is coming on January 20th. A letter is going home today or the beginning of next week. A copy of the letter from Mr. W is below. We look forward to seeing you at the performance!
4th_per_letter.pdf Download File Students have now completed 3 of their 4 Bloom projects. I have entered the grade in the gradebook, so that you can check out how your child is doing with the projects so far. The grades are also in your child's Bloom Project folder. As you know from the sheet students need 54 points for an A (For the group with both Sadako and Hachiko Waits 27+27 = 54 points total). The final project will be due Monday 12/12. You can help your child determine what they should do for their final project based on the points they need. You can also work with them to determine if they need to use their Oops coupon.
