As our final project for Any Small Goodness we are working on writing reviews. The assignment for this is outlined in the document below. We will spend three class periods working on it. As you know fourth grade does not dress up for Halloween. As part of our holiday fun we will be having a vocabulary costume guessing game at our party. Please read the assignment below and help your child prepare for an exciting vocabulary adventure. Please make sure that word choice has a positive tone, no weapons, blood, guts or horror as these can be disruptive to the learning environment. If you are unsure about the word choice please email me or send a note and I will let you know. We will be reading read Miss Alaineus: A Vocabulary Disaster by Debra Frasier. The story is about a girl named Sage who has misheard and misunderstood one of Mrs. Page's weekly vocabulary words. Her error leads to a humbling catastrophe: a momentous tragedy, in front of the entire class. Sage turns her vocabulary disaster: an event bringing great misfortune, into a triumph: a true success.
