The motorized toy and slideshow were due today. As long as they are turned in and shared with with me today I will grade them and give students the rubric with the grade tomorrow. Students can then make changes and turn the rubric back in to me with a list of changes they have made to their presentation. I will regrade the presentation using the rubric and this will be their final grade. The rubric with the list of changes must be turned into me by 8:45 on Monday for me to change the grade. You can also take a photo of the rubric and turn it in over the weekend by email if you prefer.

We are completing our toys and slide presentations. Students have been emailed the rubric. Here is a copy of the rubric. The toy and slide show is due Wednesday for 301, and Thursday for 304. Students can email me if they want to turn in the project early. Students will be taking their MAP test this coming week. On Wednesday, May 30th they take the Map reading test. On Thursday May 31st they take the MAP math test.
As we near the end of the year and prepare for MAP Testing, we're going to be doing homework a little differently to help us review!
This morning, students were given a cover sheet that lists all the homework assignments they need to complete between today and May 31st. There are 15 topics, and 15 corresponding assignments. All of these assignments are review (although we will be working on some of the geometry content in class this week to reinforce). Every student has copies of each assignment stapled to their packet. We will also be doing review in class over the coming days. If students are showing a mastery of a concept during the in-class review, they will be excused from the corresponding homework assignment. If a student is excused from a homework assignment, they will receive a signature from me on their packet next to the assignment they may skip. All other assignments must be fully complete to get full credit. Most of the assignments are the "re-teaching" from each unit. The re-teaching has examples on the left side, and problems on the right. If students are confused on a problem, they should first look at the examples on the side of the pages, then check their notebook (which they are always allowed to bring home), and then bring their packet in to me to ask for help. Every student must bring their packet to school every day. If you have any questions, please let me know! I am in the process of grading the Essays. I have let students know that if they are unhappy with their grade they may make changes and ask to have the essay regraded. However, they must turn the rubric in with their request and note on the back side what changes they have made.
