- Definitions - Numerator, denominator, improper fractions, mixed numbers, decompose, greatest common factor.
- Be able to compare fractions finding greatest, least and equal fractions using methods learned in class.
- Add and subtract fractions with the same denominator.
- Be able to decompose a fraction (split it into smaller pieces. Example: 2/3 = 1/3 + 1/3)
- Change mixed numbers into improper fractions and vice versa.
- Add and subtract mixed numbers.
PaWe will have a test on fractions this Monday. Students may use the large note card given in class for the test. They will need to take their notebook home so that they can create the card. The creation of the note card will help them track what will be on the test. These are the items that you might want to put on the note card:
