Coonley has been a welcoming home to me for the past eight years, so it is with some sadness that I’m writing to let you know that my husband accepted a job in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and that I will be moving there. Although I’m sad to leave Coonley, I’m excited about the new experiences ahead. Mr. Zurawski has asked me to stay until the end of the semester, so that he has the time to find an excellent teacher to complete the year. I was happy to do this, and I will do everything I can to help make this transition as smooth as possible.
It has been a joy to teach 4th grade for the past nine years, and to be a part of the wonderful Coonley community. It will be very difficult to leave this 4th grade class as I will miss their kindness to each other, love of learning, and the creativity and problem solving each student brings to their project work. It makes my heart happy to have my last class be such a pleasure to teach. I know that the teacher that takes over will love this class as much as I do.
It will miss my wonderful students and will cherish the memory of getting to know all of you. I will be thinking of all of you in the months ahead and wish you all the best in your life long journey of learning.
